WHO?
Thomas Boyce is a Sheridan animation graduate with an interest in character animation. Although he prefers 2D rigged animation, he also enjoys and has experience in hand drawn 2D animation, 3D animation, 3D modeling, stop motion, and (for a very brief period in University) motion capture.
Thomas has had an interest in creating characters, their stories, and the worlds they inhabit since a young age. What started as short stories and games on the schoolyard eventually evolved into a more visual medium. At the age of 14 he accidentally discovered Macromedia Flash MX (now Animate CC) in his Grade 9 computer class. With it, he drew and animated a Red dinosaur from a few random circles. From there on he realized he could use this medium not only to have fun, but as a means of visually sharing his imagination with other.
When Tom is not animating, he likes to play and collect old video games, collaborate on online projects, write theme songs for his stories, maybe play the trombone when no one is around (it's very loud), watch giant monster movies and early 3D animations, or if it's winter, go skating.
